The theme of the evening is "Waters of Life" and
the reception includes Mermaids offering the chance to win a Bvlgari
necklace worth £4,000, or maybe you fancy your luck with the raffle and the
opportunity to win a trip on the Orient Express. Alternatively you may
just like to test your knowledge sampling the "waters of life " (malt
whiskies).
Anton Mosimann is the consultant chef for Dinner in the
Ballroom which will be themed as an underwater paradise where there will be
the chance to bid in the auction or have fun playing in the charity casino.
At a private reception, from 7pm to 9pm,
guests will enjoy champagne and canapés in the glorious surroundings of the
Fair. Tickets are £85 (£50 for Young Macmillan Tickets). Exhibitors will
donate 5% of any items sold during this reception to Macmillan Cancer
Relief. The Gala evening continues with dinner in the Ballroom from 9pm. A
combined ticket for the reception and dinner is £275 with tables of 10 for
£2,750.
Last year, the Fair’s Charity Gala Evening
raised £600,000 for the charity. Elizabeth Hurley, Liza Minnelli, Cherie
Blair and Sir Bob Geldof were amongst the 1,000 guests.
